Bret Lee Haney, 53, died April 30, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born Feb. 16, 1960, in Hutchinson, the son of Francis and Joyce (Lawson) Haney.

Bret worked for Electronic Data Systems in Plano, Texas until moving to Hutchinson and opening his own second hand store. He is survived by his parents, Francis and Joyce Haney of Hutchinson; two sisters, Lisa Baytosh and husband Terry of Hutchinson, Tonya Howser of McPherson; companion, Keno Krause of Hutchinson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; four nieces and two nephews; and two great nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, with Reverend Mark Conard presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Friday. Memorials may be made to the Bret Haney Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
