Bretley Hunter Owens, 61, of Hutchinson, peacefully passed away March 15, 2019, in Wichita, encircled by his beloved family and friends. He was born November 26, 1957, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hutchinson, the son of Leslie and Constance Owens. Bret graduated from high school in Aurora, NE, in 1976. He was a member of the Methodist church and a born-again Christian. Bret was a businessman, owning and operating Owens' Optical in Hutchinson for 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Les Owens, and sister, Vickie Lynn Owens.

Bret is survived by: mother, Constance Owens, Hutchinson; sister, Stephany Miller (Jim), Aurora, NE; brother, Bradley A. Owens, Hutchinson; nephew, Riley Miller, Aurora, NE; and niece, Cameron Owens, Hutchinson.

A private family burial will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
