Brian James Chapman, beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin and Friend, 37, went to be with our Lord, September 26, 2012, after a brief illness. He was born June 27, 1975, to James Edward and Terese "Terry" Mesh Chapman in Hutchinson, KS. Brian attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, Class of 1994, in Wichita, KS, and three years at WSU.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Wichita, and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church and Grade School, Hutchinson, when he was younger. He has worked at CRU-Dataport for seven years as a computer programmer.

Survivors include: his mother, Terese "Terry" Chapman, Wichita, KS; sister, Kristyn Chapman, Wichita, KS; uncles, Paul Mesh and wife Mari, Hutchinson, KS, and John Mesh, Enid, Okla.; aunt, Janet Cooper, Hutchinson, KS; cousins, Bill Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Robyn Kelly, Ryan Mesh, Michael Mesh and Kayla Mesh. He was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Marie Mesh.

Parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, KS. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at the church with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with family receiving friends from 3 to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, KS.
