Brian Lee Lanning, 54, died April 1, 2015, at Hospice House. He was born May 10, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Francis J. and Lena (Oliver) Lanning. Brian graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1978, and attended Hutchinson Community College. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Brian was an owner/operator truck driver. He was a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.
On September 1, 1979, he married Laurie Bahl, in South Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Joshua Lanning and wife Emily of Attica, Marcus Lanning of Nickerson, and Tyler Lanning of South Hutchinson; grandchildren, Sierra, Garrett, and Alice; father, Edward Rush of Abbyville; brothers, Bobby Lanning and wife Tammy, and Michael Lanning, all of Abbyville; sisters, Deb Lanning of Johnson City, and Trish Abernathy of Hutchinson.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, and mother, Lena Rush.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life service will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Rice Park, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Plainview Mennonite Church Missions, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501
