HOUSTON, Texas - Bruce J. Dempsey, 57, died July 25, 2009, at his home in Houston.
He was born May 12, 1952, in Hutchinson, the son of Jack and Charline Buckbee Dempsey.
He attended South Hutchinson Grade School and was a 1970 graduate of Newton High School. A resident of Houston, he was district manager for Dacor Appliances in Houston.
On Jan. 12, 1973, he married Lynne LeClair. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jeff, Derby, Jack, Thornton, Colo., and Brett, Aurora, Colo.; his mother, Hutchinson; two brothers, Daryl, Las Vegas, Nev., and Martin, Abilene; three grandchildren, Connor, Violet and Iain; five nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Marion and Lois Buckbee, and Ernest and Agnes Powell; and an aunt, Phyllis Rowland.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brookside Funeral Home, Houston.
Memorials may be sent to Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, or Odyssey Hospice, Conroy, Texas, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
