Bruno R. Marx, 95, died Dec. 20, 2016, at Mennonite Friendship Com-munities, South Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Berlin, Germany, to Frederick Scholtz and Anna Marx.
Bruno recently celebrated his 95th birthday.
Bruno and his wife, Edith, moved to Hutchinson in 1951. He retired in 1984 as a machinist for Cessna Fluid Power, after 25 years of service. Bruno volunteered as a dog training leader for 39 years for Reno County 4-H and was a member of the Hutchinson Kennel Club. He was of the Lutheran faith.
On May 24, 1943, he married Edith G. Machner in Breslau, Germany. She died Dec. 12, 1996. Survivors include: daughters, Sieglinde Marx (Daniel Banz) of Tonganoxie, Jutta Beard (Larry) of Fort Washington, Md., Irmie Shuler (Max) of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A family graveside service will be held in the spring at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
