Burl "Bernie" Walters' Obituary
Burl "Bernie" Walters, 81, died Nov. 12, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Jan. 17, 1926, at Proctor Okla., the son of John and Marie Rickert Walters. A long time resident of Arlington, he worked as a retired grain elevator operator for Whiteside Elevator Co-op.
Survivors include: numerous stepchildren, including Cindy Combs and Ted Pauley, both of Hutchinson; a brother, John Whitson, Hugoton; a sister, Shirley Knox, Hugoton; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; and an honorable friend, Randy Brown, Arlington.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Walters.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Betty Pinkston officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Cancer Council of Reno County.
