C. Nadine Burton, 87, died Sept. 22, 2015, in Hutchinson. She was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Pratt, to Claude and Lena (Fitzsimmons) Sitton.

Nadine graduated from Pratt High School in 1946, and then went to beauty school in Wichita. She began her career as a beautician at the Wolcott Building in Hutchinson before working at Nadine and Shorty's Beauty Shop until she retired at age 75.

On May 31, 1947, she married Kenneth "Kenny" Burton in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 6, 2008. Survivors include: daughters, Connie Dickinson (Roger) of Hutchinson, Renée King (Jim) of Iola; two granddaughters, Christine Swann, and Lori Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin Vindici, Luka Bella, Aliza, and Araiah Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at First Congregational Church, 3410 N. Plum St., Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Elliott Mortuary.
