BURRTON - C. Pearl Denslow, 91, died May 31, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Elkhart, the daughter of Charles William and Nancy Adolene Gaden Swagerty. She had lived in the Stratton, Colo., community before moving to Burrton in 2001. She had worked in a clothing store in Elkhart, and had partnered with another couple in Satanta to open a grocery store.
She belonged to the Church of God, Stratton, Colo., where she and Clydie were baptized at the same service in 1965, and the Women of the Church of God, having taught the 2- and 3-year-old Sunday school class for many years.
She married Elvin Moore. He died in a mining accident. On Feb. 16, 1947, she married Clyde J. Denslow in Elkhart. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Clyde R. "Clydie" Denslow and wife, Karen, Burrton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by all of her siblings: two brothers and eight sisters.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elkhart Cemetery, with Clyde R. Denslow presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
