Candice "Candy" Caren Miller, 69, died April 19, 2016, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 9, 1946, in Hutchinson to Carston B. Johannsen and Ruth L. (Schell) Day, and raised by Lyman and Ruth Day.

Candice graduated from Hutchinson High School and went on to attend University of Kansas and Hutchinson Junior College. Survivors include: daughters, Holly Herman of Buhler, and Heather Maxwell of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Trevor Herman, Katie Herman, Cody Hendrickson, Kimber Howard, Kylee Maxwell, Christian Maxwell; brothers, Carston Johannsen and wife Peggy of Leawood, Wayne Day and wife Judy of Aiken, SC; several nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Danny.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Dillon Nature Center, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
