Capt. Stephen G. Brown, 66, formerly of Hutchinson, died on Dec. 10, 2012.
A retired Captain in the United States Naval Reserve, Stephen was also the Deputy Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for seven years, ending in 1991. He was the Director of Mid America Air Museum in Liberal for three years. Stephen battled Parkinson's disease for 26 years with courage and grace.
He is survived by: his wife of 28 years, Robin McGirr; sister, Susan Morris; brother-in-law, David Morris; nephew, Jay Morris; niece, Melissa Venable. Stephen was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Lynn Brown; father, Billy E. Brown; mother, Betty J. Brown.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Partridge Community Church, Partridge, Kan., with Reverend R. Samuel Askew officiating.
