Carl Schwartzkopf, 95, died October 3, 2009 at Mennonite Friendship Manor, South Hutchinson. He was born May 14, 1914 in Alexander to Philip and Mary George Schwartzkopf.

On August 4, 1934 he married Delores Kueffer in Alexander, KS. She died June 13, 2009.

A resident of Wichita since 1941, he taught one year at Timken, KS, then worked at Cessna and Boeing as a Production Manager until his retirement. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Wichita.

He is survived by a brother, Bill Schwartzkopf, South Hutchinson; two nephews, Darryl and wife Sally Wallace, Kansas City, KS and Lynn and wife Karen Schwartzkopf, Hutchinson; four nieces, Jann Sherman and husband Dennis, Great Bend, Janet Young and husband Bob, Barnsdall, OK, Miriam Davies and husband Russ, Bolivar, PA, and Susanne Price, Wichita.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Herman Schwartzkopf; and two sisters, Clara Wallace and Freda Clark.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at Great Bend Cemetery with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Friends may call from 9-9 Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
