Carol B. Grounds' Obituary
Carol B. Grounds, 76, died Sept. 10, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born June 14, 1932, in Topeka, the daughter of William Frank and Alberta Beckmann Grounds. She was a 1950 graduate of Waverly High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1950, she was an order processing clerk for Colladay Wholesale Hardware, Hutchinson.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member and past president of Beta Sigma Sorority, both in Hutchinson.
Survivors include: a brother, William "Warren" Grounds, Waverly; and a nephew, William "Dave" Grounds, Waverly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Grounds.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Pat Ault-Duell presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Burlington.
