Carol A. Herdt-Wilburn's Obituary
Carol Ann Herdt-Wilburn, 68, died Aug. 25, 2007, at Hospice House.
She was born March 24, 1939, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Frederick and Elsie Bender Herdt. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1957 and attended Hutchinson Junior College. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a private home caregiver and bookkeeper.
She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include: a son, Rocky; two daughters, Laurie Cortez and husband, Arnold, Harlingen, Texas, and Brenda Garcia and husband, Efren, Hutchinson; two sisters, Jane Dellinger, and husband, Dale, and Betty Walters and husband, Bill, all of Arlington, Texas; a sister-in-law, Karen Herdt; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Herdt; and a grandson, Jacob Cortez.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 3304 North Severance, Hutchinson, with Mike LaMunyon presiding. Private family graveside service will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
