Carol J. Howard's Obituary
Carol J. Howard, 73, died May 5, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born July 14, 1935, in Abbyville, the daughter of Carl B. and Josephine Horton Rank. She attended Abbyville schools and graduated in 1952 from Arlington High School. A lifelong Reno County resident, she was a homemaker.
On Sept. 26, 1953, she married Audie Howard in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Timothy, Mt. Hope; a daughter, Tonya Howard, Hutchinson; two brothers, Carl Rank Jr., South Hutchinson, and Kenneth Rank, Abbyville; two sisters, Rose Eisiminger, Hutchinson, and Marlene John, Plevna; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
