Carol J. Kroeker, 76, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village. She was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Edward and Emma (Lange) Kroeker.

Carol graduated from Hutchinson High School and then from Adela Hale Business College. She worked as a clerk for the city of Wichita until her retirement. Carol was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wichita.

She is survived by: son, David Lewis and wife Aleksandra of Saudi Arabia; granddaughter, Veronika Lewis of Saudi Arabia; sister, Doris Schroeder and husband John of Hutchinson; niece, Judy Juhnke and husband Stan of Hutchinson; nephew, John D. Schroeder and wife Carol of Clearwater, Fla.; and many great-nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Luella Kroeker.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village, Chapel, 810 E 30th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Dave Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Buhler Municipal Cemetery West. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
