PLEVNA - Carole J. Unruh, 70, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born March 31, 1940, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Paul Wilber and Thelma Edna Baughman Rankin.

She was retired from Horizons Mental Health Center, Kingman, with 25 years of service as part of the clerical staff, a 1958 graduate of Plevna High School and attended Kansas State University.

Survivors and their spouses include: a son, Troy and Brenda Unruh, Arlington; two sisters, Leona and Dean Zongker, Plevna, Donna and C.J. Dennis, Merritt Island, Florida; four nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Nancy Proffitt officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery, Abbyville.

Memorial gifts may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church or Victory in the Valley in care of the mortuary.
