Obituary

Carolee M. Wilkes Redenbaugh, 85, went to be with her Lord on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. She died at the Holton Community Hospital.

Carolee was a longtime Hutchinson resident, moving to Holton earlier this year, from the Dillon Living Center, to be near her daughter. She was born Sept. 11, 1929, in Hutchinson, the daughter of John M. and Hattie "Irene" (McNett) Starks.

On May 16, 1948, she married David B. Wilkes in Hutchinson. He died Aug. 17, 1984. She then married John W. Redenbaugh on Nov. 27, 1994, in Hutchinson. He died May 23, 2007.

Carolee had worked at Morton Salt Co., Southwestern Bell Telephone and was a retired receptionist at Elliott Mortuary. She loved her family, the color purple, chocolates (and sharing them with others), and her Cadillacs.
She was a member of the Mount Olivet Worship Center.

Her survivors include: her daughter, Connie L. King and husband Merlin, of Wetmore, Kan.; sister, Joan Black, of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband's, David and John; her son, Randy; and her brothers, Jackie A. and John Starks, Jr.

Funeral service for Carolee will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
