Caroline J. Leitzel's Obituary
Caroline J. Leitzel, 68, died Jan. 30, 2008, in Wichita.
She was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Independence, the daughter of Warren R. and Viola M. Clubine Hurst. A longtime Hutchinson resident, moving to Wichita in 1996, she was a machine operator for Cessna and Eaton Corp., retiring in 1988.
She belonged to the First Christian Church.
On May 26, 1984, she married Clifford D. Leitzel in Independence. He died Dec. 9, 1994.
Survivors include: two sons, Robin Shelby and wife, Irene, Udall, and Woody Kane, Wichita; two daughters, Phyllis Drake and Gloria Soto, both of Wichita; two brothers, Dick Hurst, Neodesha, and George Hurst, Fredonia; two sisters, Peggy Harlin, Independence, Beverly Inman, Glasford, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Melvin Walton presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
