Carolyn S. and Jimmie R. "Jim" Narron, both 68 and of Hutchinson, died April 21, 2016, in rural Hutchinson. Carolyn was born June 23, 1947, in Stafford, to Milburn and Mildred (Bartlett) Chestnut. Jim was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Larned, to Clyde and Helen (Collier) Narron.
Carolyn graduated in 1965 from Hutchinson High School and attended business college. She worked as an insurance sales representative for Fee Insurance Group. Jim graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966. He was a maintenance supervisor at J & J Drainage Products and served in the United States Air Force.
On Sept. 21, 1968, Carolyn and Jim were married in South Hutchinson. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Carolyn and Jim were members of the First Baptist Church of Nickerson, where they were active church members. They enjoyed gardening, looking for deer, and square dancing. They were members of the State Fair Promenaders and Lakeside Boating and Camping Association, Nickerson. Since Jim's retirement, they were inseparable. They could always be seen together, along with their two beloved dogs, Sandy and Nuggie, who also died in the accident with Carolyn and Jim.
Survivors include: children, Gary Narron and wife Peggy of Nickerson, Stacie Wilson and husband Cory of Inman, Melissa DeWitt and husband Mike of Hutchinson; Jim's brother, Dennis of Hutchinson; Jim's sister, LaVera Simms of Lyons; and ten grandchildren, Amy Aparicio, Cade Wilson, Logan Aparicio, TaTyana Narron, Alaina Aparicio, Tanner DeWitt, Zane Wilson, Reid Wilson, Cora Mae Narron, and Sam Wilson. They were preceded in death by their parents; and Jim's five brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 504 West C, Nickerson, with Pastor Richard Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by McConnell Air Force Base. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
