Carolyn A. Carlson, 61, died July 2, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 3, 1954, in Grand Forks, ND, to Harold and Patricia (Sanford) Carlson.

Carolyn was formally a psychologist for Larned State Hospital.

Carolyn is survived by: her brother, Mark Carlson and wife Velma of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews, Tricia Giguere (Kevin), Jennifer Carlson, Johnathan Carlson (Del-Rey); stepmother, Doris E. Carlson of Manhattan, Kan.; stepsiblings, Janie Claar of Manhattan, Kan., Rod Clower, Andy Clower, both of Salina, Ellen Mangan of Garden City; and numerous stepnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold M. and Patrick A. Carlson; a great-niece, Savannah Giguere; and a stepsister, Judy Patterson.

Cremation has taken place. Private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
