Carolyn A. Fee, 50, died Dec. 19, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, of brain cancer.
She was born Feb. 2, 1959, in Topeka. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1977, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981 and then her Masters in Business Administration in 1983, both from the University of Kansas. Following graduation she moved to Dallas and worked for the Richards Group, then with First City Bank as a vice-president. Carolyn then moved to Boston in 1999 and served as the senior corporate marketing manager for Fleet Boston Bank, which later became Bank of America.
She belonged to PEO Chapter C, Boston. She had a love to travel outside the U.S. at least once every year. Although she traveled throughout Europe and the British Isles, her travels took her to Argentina, Egypt and Africa, and she was to have traveled to China this year.
Survivors include: her parents, Franklin and Bonita "Bonnie" Fee; a brother, Thomas; uncle and aunt, Roger and Mary Roots; aunt, Martha Fee; great-aunt Vi Kukla; cousins, Jim Fee Jr., Stacy Shaw, Allan Fee, Bob Fee, Dan Fee, Sam Roots, Matt Roots and Katie Roots; and two nephews, Andrew and Taylor Fee.
She had many dear friends in Boston and around the country.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Jim Fee, and her grandparents.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Jim Rhaesa presiding. Cremation will take place and friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County Hospice House, or the American Brain Tumor Association, both in care of Elliott Mortuary.
