Carolyn "Sue" Richardson, 62, passed away June 5, 2013, at her home in Sterling. She was born Sept. 14, 1950, in Eureka, Kan., the daughter of Charles "Floyd" Benton and Ida Angeline Townsend.

She delivered flowers for many years for Hutchinson Floral and was a homemaker and mother.

She married Randy Travis Richardson Dec. 30, 1976, in Hutchinson, Kan. He survives. Other survivors include: sons, Rick A. Richardson and wife Marla of Lyons, Kelly Richardson and wife Charlotte of Hutchinson, Travis J. Richardson of Hutchinson; daughter, Tina Thayer and husband Jeremy of Yukon, Okla.; brothers, Larry Benton and wife Tracey of Deer Lodge, Tenn., Darrell Benton and wife Makaddam of Saint Louis, Mo., Michael Benton and wife Valerie of Bridgeville, Pa.; sister, Audrey "Shorty" Branum and husband Jerry of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Gracie and Keaton Richardson, Casey King, and Jordan and Noah Thayer. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at Mitchell Chapel, United Methodist Church, with Pastor Teresa Wynn presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
