Carrol Duane Bemiss, 78, died February 12, 2022, in Hutchinson. Carrol was born on June 21, 1943, in Stamford, NE to Robert and Evelyn (Russell) Bemiss.

On June 2. 1978, Carrol married Judith Elaine Trinkle, in Hutchinson. Judith died on November 14, 2014.

Carrol graduated from Overton High School and retired after 33 years from Haven Steel as a Machine Operator. Carrol served in the United States Army and served two tours in Intelligence and Communications during the Vietnam Conflict. He is an active member of the Hutchinson American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68 , and a lifetime member of the Hutchinson VFW Bob Campbell Post 1361.

Survivors include: nieces Dusty Bemiss, Robin (Manuel) Garcia, Chris (John) Heard; brother, Billy (Lois) Bemiss; sister-in-law, Melinda Bemiss; many other nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Carrol was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary, Al, Robert and Terry Bemiss; and sister, Darlene Little.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Shelman Cemetery, Cunningham, KS. with Todd Ray presiding. Friends may sign the book Monday thru Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 1-5 with family to greet friends on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
