Caryl K. Tucker, 97, of Hutchinson, died Friday, November 3, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born October 28, 1920, in Osborne, the daughter of Lester and Emma (Nunn) Burkholder.

Caryl trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of ten. She lived her life committed to her Savior, to the Word of God, and to her family. Caryl was a great homemaker and prayer warrior, and will be greatly missed. She was a lifetime member of Salina Bible Church and was active in Berean Baptist Church after the Tucker's move to Hutchinson in 2007 to live with their daughter, Mary and Roger Neir.

On August 21, 1940, Caryl married William 'Bill' Tucker in Salina. He died May 14, 2009.

She is survived by: son, James W. and wife Sondra of Strawberry Point, IA; daughters, Mary Ellen Neir and husband Roger and Elizabeth Tucker, all of Hutchinson; sister, Emy Lou Peterson of Abilene; six grandchildren and spouses; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at Berean Baptist Church, 1620 Center St., Hutchinson. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1920 E. Crawford St., Salina. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Berean Baptist Church to help with a nine-month mission trip by her great-granddaughter, Maggie Duehring, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
