Casey Shawn Carrier, 50, of Hutchinson, died February 17, 2021, at his home. He was born February 7, 1971, in Hutchinson, to Clair E. and Janet K. (Thompson) Carrier.

Casey graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1989 and received a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from Kansas State University. He worked as a cook in just about every restaurant in town, as well as a carpenter and roofer. Casey loved woodworking, making rocking horses for several of his family members. He was very smart and full of care for his loved ones.

Casey is survived by: his mother, Janet Carrier; sisters, Dawn Kowalsky (Kevin), Tracy Beck (Bradley), all of Hutchinson; seven nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clair.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
