Catherine Jean Miller, 56, of Hollister, Missouri, died July 4, 2022 at KU Medical Center. She was born September 13, 1965, in Hutchinson, to Larry and Jeanie (Wheeler) Whitley.

Cathy was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. She worked as a property claims field adjuster for American Family Insurance. Cathy was very active, she loved to run and participate in marathons and other races. She also enjoyed spending time on the lake. More than anything, Cathy loved her family and spending time with them.

On May 12, 1999, she married Christopher Miller, in Hutchinson. They shared 23 years together.

Cathy is survived by: husband, Chris Miller, Hollister, Missouri; sons, Brett Stafford (Amber), Hutchinson, Shawn Stafford (Erica), Wichita; grandchildren, Cevanna (Dante), Cameron, Colton, Cooper, Wyatt, and Kate; siblings, Phillip Whitley, Amber Whitley, Ginny McQueen (Lee), all of Hutchinson and Patrick Whitley, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by: father, Larry Whitley; mother, Jeanie Hassler; stepfather, Michael Hassler; and son, Shane Lee Stafford.

Memorial service will be 10 am Monday, July 11, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.
