Obituary

Cecil U. Lundstrom, 91, died Sept. 22, 2015, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, after a short illness. He was born in Little River, March 31, 1924, to Fred Niles and Agnes Elmira (Case) Lundstrom. Cecil was raised on the family farm with four siblings.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Cecil graduated from Kansas State University in 1949, and then worked as a State Farm Insurance Claims Superintendent for more than 30 years. Cecil and Maxine were long-time members of Trinity United Methodist Church. Cecil's love for golfing and fishing was only surpassed by his love for family and friends.

On May 6, 1951, Cecil married Maxine Loella Keesling at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. Survivors include: his wife of 64 years, Maxine; daughter, Debbie Wilds and husband Chuck of Wichita; son, Richard and wife Renee of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren; and eight (soon to be 10) great-grandchildren. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Don Lundstrom, Betty Falen, Max Lundstrom and Bob Lundstrom.

Graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
