Cecil W. Thomas' Obituary
Cecil W. Thomas, 101, died November 25, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 29, 1909, in Halstead, the son of David and Ida Thomas.
Cecil farmed in Halstead until 1968, when he moved to Hutchinson, he then worked for Colladay Hardware. He was a charter member of the Faith United Methodist Church.
On August 11, 1936, he married Frances I. Fast in Moundridge. She died September 14, 1996.
Survivors include two daughters; Betty C. McDonald (Mike) and Patricia A. Adams both of Hutchinson, five grandchildren; Terri L. Lohmeyer (Greg) of Hutchinson, Cindy J. Martin (J.W.) of Hutchinson, Michael D. Lohmeyer of Panama City, Florida, Susan G. Lohmeyer Casey of Hutchinson, James W. Lohmeyer (Vickie) of Hutchinson; 10 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 30th, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ron Kite presiding. Friends may call 9-9 Sunday and Monday.
Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church in care of the mortuary. Inurnment will be at Fairlawn Burial Park at a later date.
