Charlene Powell, 85, of Hutchinson, died February 22, 2021, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born August 10, 1935, in Hayti, Missouri, to Charles and Lillian (Vinson) Morgan.

Charlene graduated from high school in 1953. She was a homemaker who loved bowling.  Charlene was an accomplished decorator, knitter, and seamstress.

On October 1, 1955, Charlene married Donald Eugene Powell. They shared 50 years together before he passed away July 30, 2006.

Charlene is survived by: daughter, Debi Goff, Hutchinson; granddaughter, Deana Jullie (Jason), Dallas, Texas; grandson, Dustin Goff, Hutchinson; great-granddaughters, Jocelyn and Piper; brother, Charles Morgan; and sister, Demetra, Washington.

Charlene was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Donald Powell; brother, JW Morgan; and sister, Dorothy Simmons.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
