Charlene F. Walters' Obituary
Charlene F. Walters, 88, died Aug. 12, 2012, in Tulsa, Okla. She was born March 25, 1924, in Chase, Kan., to Charles Jr. and Lydia (Berkemeyer) Heckel.
A 1942 graduate of Chase High School, she was a homemaker.
On Nov. 25, 1945, she married Clarence Ray Walters in Chase. He died March 27, 1999.
A sister, Rubyanna Boldt preceded her in death in 1999.
Survivors include: a son, Larry R. Walters and wife Barbara L. of Tulsa; daughter, Donna M. Steinkogler and husband Gary L. of Apex, NC; four grandchildren, Alan R. and Adam L. Walters and Michael L. and Jill M. Steinkogler; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Alden Valley Cemetery with Pastor Jim Rhaesa officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Please visit www.elliottmortuary.com to leave condolences for Charlene's family.
