Charles Richard "Charlie" Adamson Sr., 76, died Oct. 29, 2006, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
He was born Nov. 24, 1929, in Arkansas City, the son of Clarence Levi and Lucinda Caroline Ogden Adamson. A resident of Hutchinson for 10 years, moving from Cunningham, he was the owner of Skelly Service Station, Cunningham, for seven years, was a mechanic, truck driver and also worked for Kingman Manufacturing.
He belonged to Full Gospel Assembly Church.
Survivors include: a son, Charles, Jr., and wife, Brenda, Hutchinson; three daughters, Caroline Adamson and Helen Hougham, both of Hutchinson, and Joy Martinez, Chase; a brother, Harold and wife, Roberta, Kingman; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Ruth Adamson.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Maud Cemetery, Cunningham, with Chaplain Sherman Nungester presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
