Charles T. "Chuck" Bowman, 72, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 6, 2012, at Pine Village in Moundridge.

Chuck was born Dec. 12, 1939, at Great Bend, the son of James Orlin and Myrtle Mae Seaman Bowman.

He grew up and attended school in Garden City, but graduated from Dodge City High School in 1957. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Chuck began working at Cessna Fluid Power in 1965, and retired at Eaton Corp. as network administrator in 1999.

He married Mathilda H. Schartz on Aug. 7, 1965, in Larned. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Steven Bowman of Hutchinson; two daughters, Barbara Burleson of Olathe and Jennifer Shy of Hutchinson; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James D. Bowman and William W. Bowman.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Inurnment will be 2 p.m. Friday at Larned Cemetery, Larned. A register book may be signed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
