"Chuck" "Charlie" Gillham

Charles Wayne "Chuck" "Charlie" Gillham, 68, of Plevna, died December 22, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1953, in Iola, to Wayne and Ruth (Spillman) Gillham.
Chuck graduated from Humboldt High School in 1971 and received an associate's degree in HVAC from Southeast Kansas Vo-Tech School. He worked for nearly 50 years in the HVAC business at Decker & Mattison, Johnson Sheet Metal, and Eales Plumbing Heating and Air, before opening his own business, Charlie's Heating and Air, in 1997, and retiring in 2018. Chuck built his own house in the country and loved driving around and sightseeing. He also loved his work, being outside, singing, and spending time with his family – he was a wonderful grandfather. Chuck attended Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene in Sylvia.
On June 27, 1987, he married Linda L. (Freeman) Boyd, in Hutchinson. She survives of the home.
Also surviving are: daughter, Jennifer Anderson (Jordan) of Lansing; stepdaughters, Gina Hoskinson (Jack) of Junction City, Shelly Hoefer (Kenny) of Hutchinson, Lori West (Jeff) of Buhler; grandchildren, Brendan Anderson, Jeff Weesner, Janae Floyd, Ashleigh Green, Hollie Hunter, Dylan Pendleton; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Rex Gillham (Peggy) of Haughton, LA; and many extended family members.
Chuck was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Terry; and grandson, Rory Weesner.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Pastor James Davis officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorial donations are suggested to Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
