Obituary

Charles Everett "Corky" Vest, 74, died on May 23, 2016, at his home in Arlington. He was born May 10, 1942, in Norton, to Floyd and Mildred (Gates) Vest.

Corky worked as a heavy equipment operator for Shears and as an excavator for Randy Packebush, for many years before his retirement.

He married Melody Spaniol on June 4, 1979. She survives. Other survivors include: daughter, Jennifer Vest, Arlington, and son, Jimmy Vest, Lawrence.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Mennonite Friendship Communities Chapel, South Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
