Charles E. Fesler, 85, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Nov. 6, 1925, at Plevna, the son of Warren and Ruby Rush Fesler.

He was a 1944 graduate of Plevna Rural High School.
He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, District #310 Fairfield School Board member, Westminister Township Trustee, a bowler and a lifetime farmer in the Abbyville community.

On June 5, 1949, he married Vera M. Nusser at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson. She died March 24, 2005.

Other survivors and spouses include: two sons, Lee and Bobbi, Hutchinson, Max and Susan, Abbyville; one brother, Jim and Judy, Plevna; five grandchildren, Katie and Robert Duncan, Brian Fesler, Aaron Fesler, Danielle Fesler and Dylan Fesler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Keith A. Dellenbach officiating. Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the mortuary.
