Obituary

Charles R. Fry, 71, died December 31, 2014, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born July 27, 1943, to Charles N. and Nancy Lee (Sharp) Fry. Charles spent four years in the United States Air Force. He was employed for many years as a metal/parts fabricator for AgCo in Hesston. Charles enjoyed woodworking, photography, fishing and his church family. He was the one of the founding board of directors for the Soup Kitchen. He was involved with the "Got Jesus?" campaign signs for International Ministry. He was an ordained minister with Congressional Bible Churches International, was a Sunday school teacher with Wesleyan Church of Hutchinson, led many Bible studies, and was a support staff member for Missions to China.

Survivors include: daughters, Belinda of Wichita, Audra of Kinsley, Christina of Kansas City, and Tesa, where-about's unknown; stepson, Scott of Hutchinson; stepdaughters, Tammy of Hutchinson, Misty of California, and Kristy of Montana; 10 grandsons; eight granddaughters; brother, Kenneth and wife Lynnette of Ford; sister, Donna of Grand Junction, CO; uncle, George R. Sharp and wife Audry of Pennsylvania; three nephews; a niece; and five great -nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Charles went to sleep knowing he was meeting his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Wesleyan Church, 528 West 10th, Hutchinson, with Pastor Nick Huck presiding. Burial with military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard at Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesleyan Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
