Charles Edward Harmony, 87, died June 16, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1928, in Hutchinson, the son of William and Erma (Hoefer) Harmony.
He was a member of Union Valley Bible Church, a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68. Charles founded Harmony Cleaning Service in 1964 and retired in 2001.
On Sept. 5, 1952, he married Betty June Androes in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Kenny of Hutchinson, Beverly Harmony of Blue Springs, Mo., Charles (Lora), and Janice Shelley, both of Hutchinson; brother, Karl (Virginia) of Great Bend; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: a son, Richard; a grandson, Matthew Ray Harmony; a son-in-law, Joe Shelley; and a brother, Bill.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Hodgson presiding. Burial, with U.S. Marine Honors, will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
