Charles 'Dean' Harrison, 61, of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dean was born June 15, 1958, in Stafford, Kansas, to Charles Gary and Kay (Ellis) Harrison.

He graduated in 1976 from Mount Miguel High School in San Diego, California. He later moved back to Kansas in the spring of 1981.

Before retiring in 2002, Dean worked as a road construction supervisor for Venture Corporation of Great Bend, Kansas, for 15 years.

After traveling through Mountain Home, while going to see his son in Seattle, Dean fell in love with Idaho and decided to make it his home. In October 2016, Dean met the love of his life, Dawn Best, on a motorcycle ride. They later married in June of 2018. Dean loved the open road, and riding his Harley was one of his biggest passions. He also enjoyed going to sporting events with family and friends.

Dean is survived by: his parents; wife, Dawn Best Harrison; stepdaughter, Izzy Best; sons, Michael Harrison and wife Tasha, twins, Jake and Zachary Harrison; daughter, Monica Harrison; two grandchildren;  brothers, Don and wife Loretta, Dan and wife Kris; sisters, Tammy Moore  and husband Dave, Treva Koob and husband Todd; and sister- in-law, Harvinder Harrison. He was also a beloved uncle to a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by: grandparents, George and Donna Ellis, Hershel and Marie Harrison; youngest brother, Dale Harrison.

Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Hodgson presiding. Private inurnment will be in Sylvia Cemetery. Family will be present to greet friends from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.

A memorial Harley ride will be held later next spring in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home, Idaho.
