Charles "Buck" Jenkins' Obituary
Charles "Buck" Jenkins, 74, died Jan. 19, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital, ICU.
He was born April 5, 1932, in Alva, Okla., the son of Eugene Moses and Emma Ruth Phillips Jenkins. A resident of Hutchinson since 1941, he had been a correctional officer and supervisor at Hutchinson Correctional Facility.
On June 4, 1949, he married Maxine Mildred Socha in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Charles E., Nickerson; two daughters, Connie L. Brown, Wichita, and Brenda J. Frisbie, Nickerson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bud Jenkins; and a sister, Emma Zimmerman.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Harold E. Nelson presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
