Charles T. “Chuck” Lewis, 79, of South Hutchinson, died July 4, 2026, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. He was born March 6, 1947, in Hutchinson, to Carl Truman and Margene Virginia (Glass) Lewis.

Chuck graduated from Partridge High School, earned his associates degree at Hutchinson Community Junior College, and attended Wichita State University for accounting.

In 1971, Chuck married Sharon Clarke. They later divorced but had many memories as “Lewis and Clarke.”

On March 20, 2004, he married Vicky Morris. They shared 18 wonderful years of marriage before her death on August 7, 2022.

Chuck was a man of adventure who enjoyed camping and the great outdoors. He loved the mountains and developed a special love for bighorn sheep. Chuck was known as the “fun Uncle” and often added mischief to situations.

Chuck is survived by his: sister, Linda (Wayne) Henderson of Partridge; step-children, Jon Puls of Andover and Angie (Andre Parris) Puls of Wichita; grandchildren, Kyra, Jaime, Zachary (Bradi); nieces and nephews, Daniel (Stacey) Crotts of Hutchinson, Jeremy (Frida) Crotts of Vaasa, Finland, Ashleigh (Clint) Harris of Hutchinson, Kerry (Lisa) Moore of Riley, Sean (Tammie) Moore of Hutchinson, and Corey (Courtney) Eales of Hutchinson; numerous great nieces, nephews and even great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: parents; sister, Nancy Eales; and beloved wife, Vicky Lewis.

Celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Cremation has taken place.

To honor Chuck, wear the color orange in his memory. It was his favorite.
