Charles Todd Potucek, 62, died December 8, 2021, at his home in Hutchinson, KS.  He was born August 15, 1959, in Dodge City, KS, the son of Charles W. Potucek, Jr. and Patricia Ruth (Pudden) Potucek.

Todd was a 1978 graduate of Hutchinson High School.  Following high school, Todd joined the United States Navy.  He served four years active duty and four years in the Naval Reserve.  He received an Associate of Arts Degree in Applied Science from Kansas City Kansas Community College in 2010.

A precision sheet metal worker, Todd was retired from several manufacturing companies throughout the state.  He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, and was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Todd is survived by:  one brother, Scott and Anne Potucek of Hutchinson; four sisters, Monica and Mike Bryant of Santa Rosa, CA, Marcia and Shawn Streepy of Shawnee, KS, Lesle and Doug Knop of Paola, KS, and Shannon and Paul Elliott of Kingwood, TX; 13 nieces and nephews; and 23 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary. Todd requested burial at sea.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Grace Episcopal Church or the Hutchinson Community Foundation Pat Potucek State Fair Art Award, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
