Obituary

Charles D. Roberson, also known as "Buddie" and "Chuck", 59, died Aug. 1, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Hutchinson, the son of Schuyler C. and Ruth Edith Elizabeth Martin Roberson. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a 26-year employee of Cessna Hydraulics as a quality control analyst and following retirement was a CNA and CMA at Mennonite Manor in South Hutchinson and sold cars for Hambelton-LaGreca.

He belonged to First Baptist Church and was a member of Machinist Union at Cessna. He served in the Army National Guard.

Survivors include: a daughter, Elizabeth A. Kanitz, and her husband, Stan, Wichita; his fiancee, Faye A. Stephenson, South Hutchinson; a sister, Delores A. Edwards, Hutchinson; two nephews, David and Michael Edwards; and a niece, J'anna Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Gerald Salmans presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
