Obituary

Charles H. Wall, 65, of Hutchinson, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, in his home, July 18, 2011.

Charles was born Feb. 23, 1946, in Amarillo, Texas, to Major Russell and Alta Wall.

Recently retired, Charles was the master mason of Charles H. Wall Masonry. He was a skillful craftsman in brick and stone. He was also an avid animal lover, wonderful gardener and friend. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1964. In 1970, he graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Masters Degree. He began his service career in college and served for more than 30 years. He was commander of the Hutchinson Army Reserves for a number of years and served with the 89th US Army Reserve Command.

Charles married Terry Jean Davis on May 25, 1968, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Traci Seyb and husband Sean; two grandchildren, Katlyn and Cole Seyb all of Shawnee; his sister, Judy Plummer and husband John, of Monett, Missouri, and Sarah Barnett, of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Scott Wall.

Charles' funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Hutchinson, with Pastor Doug Wyatt presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Private family interment will take place at a later date in Liberty Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lucky Dog Program-Friends of Animals in Need, in care of the mortuary.
