Joan Foster, 88, died April 19, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 31, 1925, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Frank Edward and Lottie Dull Costello.

She graduated Nickerson High School in 1945 and Hutchinson Community Junior College in 1947. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a member of Holy Cross Altar Society and co-owner and operator of Lett's Electronics in Salina. Survivors include: son, Gary Foster of Tuscon, Ariz.; daughter, Nancy Kaiser and husband Johnnie of Medora, Kan.; five grandchildren; sister, Betty Hobson of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Jarrin Kaiser.
