"Lee" Cooper
November 30, 1945 – February 25, 2025
Charlotte L. "Lee" Cooper, 79, died February 25, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 30, 1945, in Acushnet, MA, to Lester Lyman and Shirley Gertrude (Spooner) Demoranville.
Lee was always working on a craft project either; crocheting, knitting, sewing, quilting, embroidery or making wreaths. She loved making arts and crafts with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lee enjoyed watching movies, especially old westerns and shopping at Goodwill and other local thrift stores.
On October 3, 1969, she married James Leroy Sr. in Norfolk, VA. They shared over 45 years of marriage, prior to his death on December 2, 2014.
Lee is survived by: her children, Jason (Mary) Cooper of Fort Payne, AL, James Cooper Jr. and Joel Cooper, both of Denver, CO; grandchildren, April Christensen, Matthew Reese, both of Hutchinson, Wynter Cooper of Colorado, Joshua Cooper, Morgan Cooper and Myranda Cooper, all of Alabama; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Brian "Scott" Demoranville, Daniel Demoranville and Linda Mudlius, all of Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Bruce; sister, Sheryl Melanson; brother, Mark Demoranville.
In respect of Lee's wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Charlotte L. "Lee" Cooper Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. To benefit the Charlotte L. "Lee" Cooper Memorial Fund, please make the check payable to Elliott Mortuary.
