Charlotte Louise Schlatter, 98, died Jan. 2, 2013, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1914, to Frank and Louise Mead Gookins in Hutchinson, Kan.
She graduated in 1932 from Grinnell High School, Grinnell, Kan.
On Sept. 9, 1933, she married Roy Ray Schlatter in McPherson, Kan. He died Sept. 12, 2005.
She was a farmer's wife and the former owner of S&E Service in rural Inman and the office manager of Namee Wholesale Groceries.
Survivors include: her daughter, Nancy Peters and husband Larry of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Jennifer Rodgers and husband Brian of Hutchinson; great-grandson, Quinn Rodgers of Hutchinson; and sister, Virginia Eklund of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys Brown and Mary Alice Rush; three brothers, Francis Gookins, Bob Gookins, and Carl Gookins.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in North Inman Cemetery with Pastors Luanne Haddaway and Gregg Friesen presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday with the family to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
