Charlotte E. Urban, 84, died July 13, 2007, at Ottawa County Health Care, Minneapolis.

She was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Otto and Katie E. Petro Zent. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1940. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, moving to Minneapolis for the last year and a half, she was a buyer for Wiley's Department Store for 34 years, retiring in 1985.

She belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church, and Altar Society, Hutchinson.

On May 17, 1941, she married John R. Urban in Kansas City. He died Jan. 2, 2006.

Survivors include: a son, Richard and wife, Jayne, Houston; a daughter, Patty Schur and husband, Tom, Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Urban, Tarah, and Ryan, and Jason and Chris Schur; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Zent; her mother, Katie Zent Wildin; and two brothers, Freddie and George Zent.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Stuart Smeltzer presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell Gable's Memorial Park Cemetery.
