Cheryl Kay Atkinson, 70, died December 4, 2018, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born September 19, 1948, to Virgil L. and Ella Josephine (Breidenstein) Plummer.

Cheryl graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1967 and Sidney's Beauty College. She enjoyed working in beauty shops that her husband, Dennis, built for her. Cheryl was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended CrossPoint Church.

In 1973, she married Dennis Lynn Atkinson at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

Cheryl is survived by: husband, Dennis; son, Neil Atkinson; grandchildren, Jacey Trower, Morgan Atkinson, Kaylynn Atkinson, Emma Atkinson, Easton Atkinson, Casen Atkinson; and best friends, Helen Stowell, Lynn Miller, and Sandi Bredvick.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Paul Thurston presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday with family present from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
