Cheryl Renee Engelhardt, 69, of Hutchinson, KS died on July 27, 2023. She was born September 15, 1953 in Pratt, Kansas to Elmer E. and Lavada P. (Quasebarth) Engelhardt.

Cheryl graduated from Chase High School and Brown Mackie College-Salina. She worked at Rice County Abstract and Gibson's in Great Bend, Ks. In 1998 she moved to Hutchinson and worked at McDonald's at their 30th Avenue store, for over 20 years and made many friends. While in Great Bend, she took organ lessons and then played for Sunday services at Our Savior Lutheran in Great Bend and Christ Lutheran in Hutchinson.  Cheryl still played piano when she could up until her death. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and making ceramics. She loved to spend time with family and attending church.  Her favorite travels include Colorado, the Grand Canyon, Mexico, Nashville, Graceland, Dolly World, Texas and visiting family.

Cheryl is survived by: sister, Vicki Engelhardt, Wichita; brother, Darryl (Janet) Engelhardt, Jefferson City, MO; nieces, Stephanie (Randall) Angerer, and Jennifer (Joe) Allen, Jefferson City; great-nephews, Hampton and Cavanaugh Angerer and Dominic Allen, Jefferson City; and great-niece, Gabriella Allen, Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, Lucas.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson with Pastor Quentin Nuttmann officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
